Delete Your Account
Last updated: September 15, 2026
This page explains how to delete your account for Stereogram Go (the Android and iOS app) and Stereogram Pro (the web app at stereogram.sigmageoscience.com), both published by Sigma Geoscience, and what happens to your data when you do. One account is shared by both apps, so deleting it from either place deletes it everywhere.
1. Delete your account yourself
Account deletion is built into both apps and takes effect immediately. You do not need to contact us.
1.1 In the Stereogram Go app
- Open Stereogram Go and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings (the gear icon).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm twice. The account and its data are removed from our servers and you are signed out.
1.2 In the Stereogram Pro web app
- Sign in at stereogram.sigmageoscience.com.
- Open your Account page (click your name in the top bar, or use the link).
- In the Danger zone section, click Delete account… and then Click to confirm.
If you have an active paid subscription it is cancelled as part of the deletion, before any data is removed. See the Refund Policy for what that means for the current billing period.
2. Or ask us to delete it
If you can no longer sign in, or would rather we do it, email info@sigmageoscience.com from the address registered to the account with the subject “Delete my Stereogram account”. We will confirm the request with you by reply and delete the account within 30 days. If you signed in with Google or Apple and no longer have access to that address, tell us what you can about the account (name, approximate sign-up date, project names) and we will verify ownership another way before acting.
3. What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes from our servers:
- Your account, email address, display name, sign-in credentials, and the record of your Terms acceptance.
- All synced projects, sites, stations, orientation measurements, datasets, formations, samples, custom fields, saved views, plots and analysis results.
- Photo records and annotations, and any photo files stored on our servers.
- Access credentials for a connected cloud drive.
- Your Sign in with Apple credential, which we also ask Apple to revoke.
- Usage analytics and session records tied to your account.
- Your subscription record with us. Paddle, our merchant of record, keeps the invoices it is legally required to keep.
Deletion is not reversible. There is no grace period and we cannot restore a deleted account. To keep a copy of your data, use Download all my data on the web app’s Account page, or export individual projects, before you delete.
4. What is kept, and for how long
- Data on your own devices. Projects stored only on your phone or in your browser are yours and are not touched by deleting the account. Uninstall the app or clear the site’s data to remove them.
- Photos in your own cloud drive. Photo files that Stereogram Go uploaded to a Google Drive or other drive you connected stay in that drive under your control.
- Server backups. Deleted rows may persist in our encrypted database backups for up to 30 days before those backups expire. They are not used to restore accounts.
- Error reports. Crash and error reports are anonymised rather than deleted and expire on their own (approximately 90 days).
- Records we must keep. Transaction records held by Paddle, and anything we are required to retain by law.
5. Delete your data without deleting the account
On the web app’s Account page, Delete cloud data removes every synced project, measurement and photo record from our servers while leaving your login in place. You can also delete individual projects from within either app at any time.
